Gary Parsons

Executive Chairman
TORAD Engineering

As executive chairman, Gary is responsible for TORAD’s financial management, investor relations and strategic planning. With an academic background in engineering and business administration, Gary Parsons has spent over 40 years in the communications-media-technology (CMT) industry. His primary achievements include the founding or early stage development of a number of companies (XM Satellite Radio, SkyTerra, TerreStar, MCImetro, and Telecom*USA), each of which attained multi-billion dollar enterprise values. He currently serves on the Boards of NextNav Holdings, LLC, Devas Multimedia Pvt. Ltd., the National Alliance to End Homelessness, and the advisory board of GreenSpring Associates.

Greg Kemp

Founder & CEO
Torad Engineering 

As founder and CEO, Greg is responsible for the business and technical strategy, design and development. He is the inventor and visionary behind TORAD’s revolutionary spool machine technology and holds multiple patents. Greg is a serial entrepreneur who founded KnowledgeStorm (technology search engine) and grew the company to $10M in revenue before was sold to TechTarget in 2008. Previously, Greg held executive-level sales and marketing positions with Documentum, Dunn and Bradstreet Software, and Rockwell Automation. Greg has written and published numerous papers on HVAC and mechanical engineering topics. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois .

Joe Orosz

President & COO
Torad Engineering

As president, Joe has overall responsibility for the company’s strategy, organization and operations. With over 30 years in HVAC/R technology development and executive leadership positions, he has extensive experience building successful businesses in the United States, Europe, and Asia . Joe served in such roles as Product Development Manager, Director of Engineering, Vice President of Operations, President and Chief Executive Officer. His vast career spans the entire range of refrigerant compressors including: screw, scroll, reciprocating, magnetic bearing from residential to commercial. Prior to Joining TORAD, Joe served as President of Ithaka Strategy and Research where he providing strategic counsel and executive support for organizations engaged in early stage product commercialization or busines s model renewal. Previously, Joe was engaged as chief executive to turn around a faltering early stage advanced industrial technology enterprise representing a $30 million investment. In that role, he reduced manufacturing defects by 10 fold, completed development and release of 5 new products, returned the business to profitability in 24 months, and designed a global marketing strategy to drive future growth.

In the course of his career, Joe has designed and launched brown field start-ups established factories in the U.S. and China, created technology start-ups in the United States, launched multiple product lines, and managed relations between small and mid-sized enterprises and their boards and major outside investors. Joe has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and has had formal training in management, quality systems, business operations, and communications.
